Where does “Womo” come from?

Womo has been a common expression of our friend group for some time, in fact, it has become almost a tradition now. “Womo” is most commonly used over xbox live but has made its way into our board game nights. The easiest way to break this down is to give a standard definition.

Womo [wo-mo]: “one more”

Uses:

-Question (used singularly)

  1. Asking other players of a game to stick around and play one more.

    1. EX: (John: “I’m going to call it a night”, Gus:”Womo?”)

-Demand (used aggressively and repeated as fast as possible)

  1. Demanding/annoying another player to stick around and play one more.

    1. EX: (John: “I’m going to call it a night”, Gus: “Womo?”, John: “Nah, I have work in the morning.”, Gus: “Womo womo womo womo womo womo womo womo womo womo”)

Womo, as its used for our company name, is more of a state of mind. It is the idea of a game or experience that is so enjoyable that you don’t want it to end, you want to play at least one more.
