About Womo

A brief origin story

Womo Productions LLC was founded by friends with different backgrounds in game design, graphic design/UX design, fine art, and one unified interest in gaming. Our childhoods were framed by countless hours of video games, boardgames, and card games. As we grew older our tastes refined, and our game collections expanded exponentially. A passion for fun, communal events eventually led us to pursue a dream of making original content. Womo is the end result of over four years of work and numerous hours of brainstorming, play-testing, reworking, fine-tuning, countless cups of coffee, and now actively self fulfilling our dream.

Who are we?

John Kester Jr

The anchor of the group, John balances out the two Williams brothers with his logic and game design knowledge. John graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science in Game Design. John’s juicy brain has been absolutely vital in fine tuning mechanics and streamlining the games. John gracefully handles things behind the scenes like a business ninja.

Kyle Williams

The more bearded of the Williams brothers. Kyle’s artistic ADHD, and unique perspective have been an essential addition to production meetings since the beginning. Kyle is in charge of social media, swag, and game development at Womo #hashtag “neat”. He is also working on the art for our upcoming game “Crystal Cave-In”. Along with being the “Devils Advocate” in every meeting.

Kevin “Gus” Williams

Formerly a corporate visual designer specializing in icons; he is now our visual designer/resident advocate for all things pretty in the group. When he isn’t designing fun things he is taking the time to properly give people a hard time (all in good fun). Gus has been in charge of icons, layout, and other design aspects of the games, website, and other projects. Along with design, Gus helps with game development, mechanics, and play-testing.

Jason Kester

Body Snatcher by day, jack of no trades by night. Jason assists with some of the paperwork side of things and reminds everyone what it means to really question your friendship with someone. Degree in Business Administration from Colorado Christian University, background in activities with all varieties of Government, and Veteran of the GWOT era. Rough around the edges doesn’t do justice to describing Jason but he is a necessary evil so that the real WOMO guys can get things done.

Marisa Hankins

Marisa is a good friend of the group and originally a play-tester of early versions of Assisted Living. She joined us before we were Womo. Eventually, we begged her to help us with the art production of Assisted Living. Her unique drawing style and insightful presence at meetings has been a welcomed addition to the Womo Team.
